EZ Questions and Answers
I receive email questions almost every day asking for
Long EZ information. This page lists the most frequent questions. If
you don't find an answer here please send me an email and I'll do what I
can for you.
Flying at air shows keeps me on the road or in the
air a lot, so if you don't hear from me for a week or more please be
patient.
I did not build my Long EZ so I'm not the best person
to ask building questions. The CSA news letter is a great place to find
information and the price is right. It comes out four times a year.

I do not sell Long EZ's or keep a list of Long EZ's
for sale. I found my Long EZ listed in Trade-A-Plane. Try the following
web sites:
The Long EZ was not a kit, you needed to buy the
plans and start from there. As far as I know the designer of the Long
EZ no longer sales plans. Try the following web sites for old plans:
There are a number of good canard type aircraft on the market today.
Take a look at the following sites:
The cost of owning an experimental aircraft can be
lower than owning a factory built plane; However, the cost is high to
own any airplane. My fixed cost is around $7,000 a year. That is
before I ever burn the first gallon of fuel. Hangar rent, Insurance
(you may not be able to get insurance) Inspections etc. all add up
fast. You can rent a C-172 for a lot of hours for $7,000 a year. If
you rent you don't need to do all the work that comes with ownership.
I'm not trying to discourage you from owning an
airplane. It is nice being able to do what you want when you want to,
that freedom comes at a cost one way or another. |
